Financing is totally different... That's up to the dealer if they will hold the rate... Probably not...

That is up the dealer - I called a few and the one that I'm dealing w/was the only one out of 3 that I contacted, that would let me lock in the DtoR lease rates. The others were "..you have to take delivery before Jan 01 to be eligible for the DtoR lease rate; otherwise you can order and you get the lease rate at that time".

No way I'm ordering a car w/out knowing what I'm paying ahead of time; and the DtoR lease rate that I got was a fantastic rate. Plus, I wanted a specific vehicle and there was none available anywhere - and probably would not be in the near future; if not ever.

I did the exact same thing last year, I ordered the car in December (at promotional rate) for February delivery - though I got lucky, they found one for me in January.

Oh wow looks like a few of you guys found the right dealer to buy from. The "raincheck" is possible but it's a unwritten process that no dealer likes to do or to make public.

I STRONGLY SUGGEST: you fill out credit application - this is the way they "hold" the rate by doing a "precheck" and faxing it in to Lexus Financial.

AND THEN:

get your price quote in writing SIGNED from a manager, NOT a sales person.

It's very important to get these 2 things locked in before you commit.
