Mike - when I used this cable, the cable was thin enough to close the lid with it sticking out. No problems whatsoever.

The Igo-charger works great too no need to swivel it stays pluged in and you can change the tips ill take a pic of my setup its like 20 bucks tho with your phone tip then you can buy other tips for other applications like ipod,laptop, etc.

Yes I have been told this also. If I recall its because the car chargers are more of a rapid charger. I have not used on my blkberry and its held up better now that I think of this. All my other phones by now the batter life was horrible. I try to carry the home charger and plug it in all the time and let it charger every night. Maybe its the battery but its doing good all considering.

on the crackberry forums they suggest to charge from the home charger.

It's ironic this thread popped up, because I was in a desperate hunt for a car charger! Let me know guys...

the two chargers are different however the two heads to plug into the power source are the same....

the first one in the link i posted allows you to buy a tip to charge your ipod as well as other tips to charge various cell phones.

the second charger is an ipod charger solely but also has an aux port in it, so you can run an aux line from the dock connector as well as charge it at the same time.

i don't have the first link because i already had a char charger for my phone and use the second charger for my ipod bc of the aux port.

I went and got it!! for only $6.99 too, it fits perfectly, and you get 2 chargers, i installed my Tom Tom, and my Treo 700p nice and neat...
