ROFL. WEEEEEEE! but i must agree, alot of people reallly underestimates the is350. i was at a auto store the other day getting my tanabe installed, when the guy asked me how im liking my IS. i told him its great i just wish it was a is350. n he told me "isnt that just a couple of HP faster?". when i gave him the wtf face, and i set him straight .

This is interesting. I seriously thought the DA would be a lot better than it was today when i ran at 4:45pm. I let all you science guys figure this out. My DA was 743ft. which is not that great. It's not like what I ran last week @ 2460+ft, but not like running at -600 (last feb).
Who knows what's going on, maybe just texas is good for running NA engines.
btw, that 12.4 chit someone posted above.. that's a vishnu... please dude lets compare apples to apples. Might as well throw some of those 1IS's that run in the 9's in there with the super turbo's. I am not knocking the 335i in anyway( i almost bought one), just stating it's not the IS killer that (if you live in dallas) everyone thinks.
Picus down here in dallas owning a bmw is like renewing your drivers license. Everyone has one, and they "all" (since you were asking who is everyone or all) will tell you how it will pack your "stupid import" ***. m3 guys don't act like you exist until you race them, and again they some how think "it was a bad day". same with the 335i guys. I approached this guy to race, and he was really cool about it. However, you can still tell he had this like "yeah dude whatever, take your lexus jap car home attitude". once the race was over, he thought differently. He was a real cool guy compared to most bmw people i come across.

FWIW, I don't think comparing a chipped 335i to an IS with an exhaust and intake is that far out of the question. Hear me out; a chip for a 335i is $1300 or less. What's an intake an exhaust for a 21S cost? Sure, you can say "oh well I will SC my 21S and rock 'em sock 'em", but it's going to cost a lot more than $1300.

Let's not turn this into another IS350 vs. 335I thread. You run what you brung. I/E IS350 might kill a stock 335I but I can tell you this right now, with equally good driver, the IS350 will get beat everytime. I'm an IS fanboy as much as anyone in here but let's face reality here guys, the IS350 can't win against the 335I stock for stock.
Also, just because the M3 is SMG doesn't mean the driver automatically gonna get the best ET that car suppose to get. Tell me how many IS350 you have seen run 13.9, 14.2 and even 14.5???? Check on dragtimes, how many stock IS350 you see can run faster than 13.5, how many stock 335I can run 13.5 and lower? I think the results speak for itself. It's all about the driver.
PS: Combfilter, thanks to you I got bit by the mod bug again lol. I am very positive that your car is capable of 12.9 with cold weather and smaller diameter tires, like 245/40/18. I wasn't going to get exhaust since I got 20s but now im going to get it and slap the stockies on just for the track . Thanks for paving the way bro.

Just a quick note to risk pointing out the obvious since a couple people seemed to wanna point out the BMWs slow reaction time.... RT has nothing to do with your 1/4 mile time, it's just how fast you react to the green lights... the timer doesn't start until your car does...

Comb! What a great run! And to think my 13.76 (with correction 13.44@103.47)
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...j2lAN-EQ&gid=2
was all I could muster earlier this summer!
Let me ask you this, can you walk us through your launch process? How high do you let the rpm get before letting go? Also, is your brake foot all the way it can, to keep the car in place?
What tire pressure set up do ya do?
Again, CONGRATS!

Nice runs, but lets not get ahead of ourselves... An IS350 is not faster than an M3, you're only in denial if you think it is.
I'm not doubting you have never lost to one, but that doesn't mean an IS350 is faster. Most IS350 aren't running 13.2
