Basically it appears that the Borla is really helping you whether you believe it or not. My local buddy with his borla put down quite a bit more power than me on the dyno, esp his tq in the lower rpms. Yes again I know I am comparing one 350 to another, but it was significant enough power differences to tell me that Borla makes the power, no matter how crappy the fitment is. The reason your trap speeds are lower is because of the head wind as your 1/8 et and mph both improved. You are definitely not making less power than before and the launch didn't really help with your times as much as you think they did, but dang what a great 60' on stock tires.
There was no head wind on sunday when i went back out for the import showdown and my fastest trap that day was 101. With my custom exhaust my trap speeds were 103+. I think my car is getting broken in finally, and sat was a great day for launching. Sat. I could smell the VHT and tell my tires were really sticky. sunday I was sliding all over. sunday they were really launching cars one right after another because it was a big event.

I was def happy with my 60' times on sat.. We'll see what happens next feb in the cooler weather. I think ennis is closed for now.

oh also, i will have my 19" volks by feb. wonder if the lighter but bigger wheel will slow me down.

Congrats Troy! I'm looking forward to getting back out there. Hopefully before the track closes for winter.

FWIW, I think James is right about the head wind being to blame for your lower trap speeds.

What were your 1/8 mile trap speeds like on Sunday? What kind of tire pressures have you been running Front and Rear?

wait, where did you see that the 12 sec. 335i has a vishnu? all i can see is that it has higher octane gas, drag radials, and clutch delay valve. i think 12.45 with this stuff is impressive if the other guy ran 13.6

Gernby, they were 8.6 and 8.7's. I ran 37lbs front, and 31 rear on sat. Again, I could smell the VHT on the track sat. Sunday i was having a few peel outs and lowered it down to 30, then 29 on the rears.

What's funny is that I ran 13.27 one time like right after pulling up out there. No burn out, spare and jack in trunk. haha I even had a cooler with drinks in it because I wasn't going to race that day. Track was just real grippy.

about 2 months ago with my old exhaust i had my first 8.4x 1/8th out at kennedale win some crazy texas summer heat. with my 60's still in 2.00x. I wish I could get those sub 2.0 60's like you and roro have. 2.006 is my best 60's to date.

I think ennis is closed till feb. we'll have to meet up out there and see what we can do in feb. At least the weather will be half the temp it has been.

Not to thread jack but I am going to put this *broke* in theory to the test.

By the way some of you talk the car should run a bit faster. Lets see, since my stock run of 13.64@101 I have added a JoeZ intake and an HKS filter. Car now has 30k on the odo (I know I drive alot) and it has been cooler lately.. plan to take the car out Wednesday if I can burn enough gas. Haha.

Anyway congrats Combfilter. Maybe you can break into the 12 to 13 cusp during the colder months.

TT061880 I think you said you were in LA, we should meet at No Problem Race Way and run our IS. :P

BTW Combfilter, I don't recall you saying to what RPM you were stalling to?

I was curious more about 1/8 mile trap speeds than times. It seems very odd to me that your 1/8 mile traps from Saturday are better than my 1/8 mile traps, but your 1/4 mile traps pretty much suck *****. It's like your 4th gear just isn't gettin' it done.
