So there is some ambiguous floor to the amount of money spent indicating 'tune'?
With turbos it often doesn't take much to squeeze more power out of it.
that's a tuner. Just ask yourself if there are any mods short of forced induction for the IS that will get anywhere close to gains like that.

Stock for stock it should be a drivers race.
Even in a drag race the driver is very important. I have seen 400hp cars at the track consistently running high 13's to low 14's, which is pretty bad.

I am calling you out because you seem to be just another 335 hater and now I'm offering you a chance to show us ONCE AGAIN that your car is faster than a 355i.
Or you are just bragging that you beat a stock 335 while you are modded and maybe the other guy had a stock MT and couldn't shift fast enough?
If you are so cocky and convinced to your car is faster, le's do it again and tape it.
Let me know when and where and i'll set it up for you.

I assume that you are a BMW guy, and that's great, so take this for what its worth:
My experience: Having spent a few years doing the BMW thing, including forum banter I've found that, apart from a few classless threads on CL that make me want to vomit rice, most people on here are far less fan-boi like than on the BMW forums.
In fact, I'd be willing to bet that if you posted a thread in the opposite vein on CL (stock 335 ran a 12.9 and beat a 13.5 IS350) you'd probably get similar congratulatory responses. No hating, no calling out, just nice race.
If anything, as a 335 fan, you should be honored that some of the IS owners are aspiring to match and beat the vaunted benchmark which is the BMW.
I don't think anyone here really thinks that an IS350 beats a stock 335 anymore than 50% of the time....and most owners on here would probably consider that a better than average result.
Lesson: just chill and enjoy the ride.
