I rode in the backseat of the 335 sedan while my friend test drove it, and it feels faster than sitting in the is350. Its more stiff but handles waaaayy better. Personally im content with the is. Its just as quick if not a bit quicker than the 335

Here's a scenario:
Two cars, exact same HP at a given RPM, exact same torque at a given RPM, both weigh exactly the same, both have exact same gear ratios in a 6 speed trans. One is turbo, one is not. The turbo car will ALWAYS feel faster than the non turbo even though it really isn't.

This is true, they are different cars.. i don't see how you could make a VIP 335i... it would be slightly sacreligious no? The point i meant to make was that the 335 has more potential for performance, but the IS350 has more luxury and i agree it is a great VIP platform.

Personally, I like the interior of the 335. It's not as nice as my S or IS, but it's still superb. The fit and finish on the bimmer is excellent, but that's what you expect with a German car whether it's a VW or a P-car.
In terms of handling, it's great. The car feels wonderful and seems to beg the driver to go faster in the twisties. I think it may out handle my S (when it was stock, not in its current state) and definitely out handles my IS. According to R&T, the bimmer had a slalom speed of 68.7 (vs. 66.7 on the IS) and lateral g acceleration of 0.9 (compared to 0.84 on the IS).

Let me put in my opinion here for the Lexus group. I've been modified my Lexus for the last 7 years and I love Lexus. One day I dropped my daughter off for a piano lesson and stopped by the BMW dealer next door to kill some times. I test drove a demo 335i, within 2 days after the test drive, I ordered my 1st e90 335i.![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
The Lexus has much better interior and comfy features. But when you talking about fun to drive. BMW beats Lexus hands down. The German's design this car with racing in mind instead designing it to win the market sales like Toyota. When you switch the tranny to Sports mode, not only the shift pattern changed, the throttle is also modified to stay around 2k rpm to keep the turbo spooled and in peak torque range. During shifting, the throttle is also maintained at 2k rpm below your shift point. Of course it's not fuel efficient but you can tell the German engineers pay attention to satisfy the hardcore racers and knows what they really need during some fun time street light racing. And of course the legendary BMW handling that most auto manufactures are still learning.
I love CL, it's a much civilized community compare to BMW forum which bunch of boy racers spending their parents' money and pay no respect to their cars and people on the street. But from deep in my heart, if you want luxery and fancy cars, go with I350 but if you have racing in mind, go with Bimmer.
Just a thought since I haven't posted here for a while.
