Have anyone had the remote control leather cover? Just like your cell phone leather cover, use it to protect the remote control from breaking when it's dropped.

Yes, many members here have the remote cover. When the 2IS first came out, several dealers were including them with the purchase. One of our CL vendors offered a group buy on them in the past

Yes I have it on my Key FOBs. Helps prevent scratches also, and is very snug. One thing I am not too fond of is that it is very diffilcult to remove especially when you are trying to clean trapped lint from underneath it or to replace the battery.

I'm sure an aftermarket company could do a much better job; one thing that is desperately needed is to protect the buttons on the fob from being accidentally pressed by other keys and items in the owners pocket or purse.

 

Just got my IS350 and they gave me two of these covers. I put these on out of curiosity and I like them. They help protect the fob.

 

I was at Sacramento Lexus this weekend, and they have a new line of colors in real leather (not the vinyl we got free) for the fob protectors. Just another way for your dealer to pull a few pennies out of your pocket.

 

I didn't get any freebees with my IS. When I was at the dealership for the first scheduled service I asked about the leather keyfob cover and they said that they didn't even have them for sale.
