Since the new logo is so similar to the Toyota/Panasonic F1 logo, I'm inclined to think it's an homage to the F1 lineage...

we'll see.... it's sort of a realistic dream. But we don't have kids right now, so that's why it's realistic.

But what I meant was, i'd rather save that money to put towards something else... like a nicer car.

Hopefully me! Already talked to corporate vehicle services and have my name down so that I should have the first one available in the midwest.

Always welcome! In the meantime I'm working on forced induction for my old LS once I get the rest of it sorted out. Happy!

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone recognize the rear reflectors in this picture? I noticed it on the way to the movies tonight...

If the IS-F has good performance/handling upgrades and comes with the 420-450 hp that people are talking about, then I'll probably get it when my current lease is up in Nov 08. People have been saying there are better cars to buy instead, but I can't really think of too many sedans that have that kind of power and cost in the range of $60k loaded. C55 only has 362 hp, S4 has 340, RS4 costs $15k more loaded, M3 isn't available as a sedan (at least not at first)... Maybe something like the Dodge Charger SRT8 (base price $39k, 425 hp) or Chrysler 300C SRT8 (same engine, $43k base) but I have no interest in those.

The upcoming C63 is the only comparable car I can think of that's on the horizon... I will check that out too before getting the IS-F. Plus who knows what else will be out by then...

At first, when the rumors were at 425 HP, I wasn't too interested - not much faster than the IS350. But now rumors are 475, almost 500 HP. Now I'm getting more interested! We are talking Vette, Viper, 911 turbo HP figures for 50-60K! If that truly is the case, we might be looking at quite a HP bargain! What other car gives you almost 100hp/10-12K? If the new IS-F truly is close to 500 HP, I'm putting in my deposit tomorrow!

Like others, if i wanted a fast car i would have gotten a Vette. But in truth the IS-F is out of my price range as well as theZ06. but if i could afford it, it would most definitely be the Corvette Z06!

I would love an IS350 coupe.

Will the IS-F be in coupe or sedan form or both?

Some of you guys keep saying that the IS-F will look too much like a regular IS,but rumors say that the IS-F will be offered in a coupe version also!
they say it will have about 425hp,retuned 8 speed transmission, sport tuned suspension, big Brembo brakes,BBS wheels ,and more aerodynamic features than a regular IS.Lets face it this will be a fine tuned machine, straight out of the Nurburgring in Germany!!

Lexus will stage the premier of the IS-F on 1/8/07 at 11:25 AM (EST)

After seeing the new CL63 AMG in person at the autoshow here last week, I'm saving my pennies for one of those. I know it's a totally different class and costs 2x more than the IS-F, but I fell in love with that car. My IS350 will suite me fine until then.
