so a d2s bulb will work fine on an IS?

Not if you have OEM HIDs. Most aftermarket HID kits use the D2S bulbs though.

for people who sell light bulbs, the light never went on during website design. those are some **** poor sites. thanks for the links though.

and what color would 8000k be? plaid?

The "Hi/Lo beam flap" is not part of the bulb, but rather the housing.
