Oh, and the car has an electronically-limited top speed of 142.

Above 60 is in 4th, 5th gear S mode is very torqy. Always with PWR button...so fun.
I just got to above 140 again tonight...about 5th time on the interstates. I am still breathing hard, re-living it.

Blue 04 or 05 EVO with huge pipe and 04 or 05 M3. They past me when I was going 80 shaking my car I-85 south in ATL just past I-285...amazing stretch.
I caught up to them once they broke it down to 90-100. We all hovered at around 80 and the EVO slammed it, me and M3 about same time. With it floored all the way past 140...like 142 i was slowly pulling away from them both...for about 4 seconds at 140 plus. This was very surprising to me because they had to have had it down all the way going that. The bright BLOOD red speed light always gets me to cut it down immediately.
At just under 13000 miles my engine feels as lively as ever. 2GR-FSE efficient/impressive.

I passed a chp on my bike at around 170mph a few years back... Same thing, he didn't budge... I think it's because they don't have time to react at those speeds! hehe.... Before they know it, or can even put their car into "D", you're already gone...

Ya, but regardless, I think limiters in cars destined for the USA are stupid and dangerous, especially when they set them at 155 MPH... Never made sense to me... Like suddenly cutting your power at 155mph is so much safer than just letting you be drag limited at 170? ROFL...

Count me into the camp of saying doing 140+ is just plain stupid. We've all taken our toys out and checked top speeds, but do it on an early Sunday morning in an area where there are clear sight lines and if you crash and burn you aren't going to take out a bunch of innocents. Racing other cars on the street is dumb.
