Has anyone got their IS350 past 140mph?

You're absolutely right - I never claimed that what I did was the smartest or safest thing in the world, but oh well - it's something I only did once and it's done with. I could have just posted "yes," in response to the OP's question, but where's the fun in that? [flame suit on]

BUT, there is a way to minimize the risk... When we do high speed runs, for the most part, a small group of us will stake out a 5 mile stretch of I-5 in the middle of central cali at around 3AM and stay in touch on our cell phones... We'll have 1 guy at the starting point, 1 guy midway at the first exit, and one guy at the end by the second exit... We make sure there's no popo anywhere in sight and we'll do our top speed runs on that 5-mile straightaway... There's usually minimal traffic as well, which is nice when you're running 150+ MPH...
Something fun to do is to switch to your navigation map screen and zoom in all the way... The map moves so damn fast at top speed

Ya, but regardless, I think limiters in cars destined for the USA are stupid and dangerous, especially when they set them at 155 MPH... Never made sense to me... Like suddenly cutting your power at 155mph is so much safer than just letting you be drag limited at 170? ROFL...

And of course, I prefer the latter, no limiter...

yeah.,..thats true i cant get it over 140 mph. and today i visited the lexus dealer in steven creek , san jose, california. He said if I would like to bypass the system to go over 140 mph, i need to put some new chip. it cost 1000 ++ and it will avoid the warranty of the engine.

combfilter,
Not bashing you, just pointing out facts.
That M5 was just teasing you, if he floored it, you won't even see his tail lights past 60 mph. Those cars are especially strong at high speed, they can hang with 911 Turbo on the top end.....
Even the IS-F won't be remotely be able to keep up, 500 hp is 500 hp.
