so kudo's to the poster of the japanese video

Yeah, the video is for 0-100 kilometers. I think it will do the 4.54, but not on the road, with "stock" weight. Maybe on a dyno machine? The video shows no shake, or movement, so either the camera was mounted to the column, or there's something fishy.

Interesting stuff x2. I had an early model G sedan in '02 with a bevy of problems. I bought a G coupe a couple years later cause I got vpp pricing and figured they would have worked some bugs out. Boy was I wrong. There are people with '06's still complaining about the creaking/shifting seats. They apparently haven't figured out how to make solid seat rails in 4 years.

I won't buy another Infiniti either. The local dealership and Infiniti corporate (who works against you for warranty work) just don't get it.

I hope they’ll describe in details in the Feb. magazine how they ran the 1/4 mile and 0-60. Brake tork, how much gas, air in tires, trac-off? etc.

So true. Trying to get them to work with the dealer to fix commonly reported problems was like getting blood from a stone. I'd say 25% of the dealerships had competent techs... the others, I could probably do a better job at home fixing the car.

+1 – I was sick-and-tired of having my car being worked-on by High School techs in training; in stark contrast to the Lexus service that I've experienced. On the rare occasion I take in my RX350 for service, I simply explain/demonstrate the issue, and it's fixed upon my return. No friggen dirty seats, foot marks on the door sills/panel and no return again-and-again for the same issue.

My wife actually had it narrowed down to the G35 and her ES330 a few years back-

She admitted the G35 was much more fun to drive- (she would have bought an IS300, but she wanted a bigger back seat)

but in the end, she just could not stand the orange lighting on the dash board- she said it made her think of a Nissan- so we got the Lexus instead-

I know from an enthusiast point of view, this was a terrible choice, but this was from a woman's point of view on the interior opf Infiniti vs Lexus-

Ah the orange backlighting, straight from the 80's. Let's not forget the equally horrendous Blose Audio System, w/the display that was adopted from a 80's Coleco hand held football game

Based on this quote, I would take that to mean they did not do any adjustments for the heat of the day? C&D's 5.1 sec 0-60 was a corrected time due to 100+ deg temps in the desert, if I recall correctly.
This is correct. R&T never applies any correction factors. They print what they get. This is why they have never been able to get the Corvette Z06 into the 11s in the 1/4 mile when all of the other mags routinely do this.

This is also why R&T sometimes has wildly different figures for the same car as in the case w/ the IS350.

Default 07 ECM Revisions???

It seems like the 07's are pulling off slightly quicker times. I wonder if Lexus tweaked the ECM code a bit for the Air/Fuel mixture or made some timing revisions to bump the power up a bit.
