Default Her x-mas present has arrived - PROOF

Stopped by the dealer on the way to work this morning and she's there, still in the white plastic wrap. Will pick her up this afternoon.

I know it's late for x-mas gift but better late than never. It may be a one-stone-kills-two birds deal. A x-mas and new year present. Will post pics when I pick her up.

Special thanks to forum members with the pricing strategy. I got $3421 OFF MSRP.

Yes, we all need proof since this is the Internet and we know that people don't lie

Thanks,

Same question as above was this a special order and if so how long did it take for the car to come in? I thought I read that you just went in this month?

Congrats fellow Midwesterner

Default a little bit of info we left out.

oh I think the IS CL members may have forgotten to mention this, but on tuesdays and wednesdays the IS tends to flip on it's back and burst into flames if you exceed 50 mph...soo try to keep it under 50.

No, I didn't special order the car. I wanted certain features like Matador Red with Cashmere, NAVI, HID.... but they didn't have it. They had a white with grey and I don't want it. BUT they told me the car is at the port and ready to be transported. That was a week from Christmas.

We came in to test drive the RX350 AWD but she didn't like it. THen we moved to the GS350 AWD. I loved this one but she said it is too big and feel like an old person (she is in her 20's). THen she saw the IS and felt in love with that. Took a test drive and she was sold.

I first wanted to pay at Invoice but they say "NO WAY" then I wanted 10% OFF MSRP but they said that they don't need to sell me at that price since they can sell it at MSRP or near MSRP with no problem. Well, I mentioned that many members from CL got theirs for INVOICE or close to INVOICE so I reasoned with the Sale Manager that I CAN pay them at MSRP but that would make me "BAD" in the face of CL members since they did "BETTER" then I. And also I can get the car elsewhere for thousands lower so why would I want to pay more here.

I told the SM that I'll take it at 8% off MSRP since I want my car to have service at this dealer later on (I live 1 mile away from them).

The SM said "5% off MSRP and you can have the car". I said "No, I don't want that". Before I walked out I told my saleman that "I have bothered you too much today, I'll buy it at 8% off MSRP". THe saleman told me "don't buy elsewhere because the SM may go soft as the day comes close."

I went home and the saleman called me about 30 mins later telling me that I can have it at 8% OFF MRSP. We were both happy.

GoHusker,

Great lookin' car! Looks like you got the same car that my wife and I just bought 12/23. IS250 awd with Red/Cashmere. We expect to take delivery first week in 2007. Ours will have nav but no luxury package. We can't wait!

The reason we chose the IS is because she wanted a small car from the MDX that we currently have. We even test drove the Mini, but thought it was underpowered (base auto model) and very noise engine + uncertain reliability. She saw the red IS and was sold on it after the test drive. I thought about getting it in Starfire Pearl but she liked red better. We didn't go for the IS350 because we needed AWD here in CT.

All-in-all we're happy with our purchase as I'm sure you are too.
