Unhappy Help! My Moon Roof (broken)

OK so here is the deal.

I left my moon roof in the "Poped-up" open position and parked, like i normally do.

When i get back to my car and start it up, i try and close the moon roof--nothing happens. No noise or anything.

So then i pushed on the moon roof button (and held it pushed) and it made a noise, as if somthing was stuck on the inside. A friend and I checked for somthing that could have falling inside, but found nothing.

So... I held the moon-roof switch down, and it CLOSED....BUT!

No matter, where i move the button, the moon-roof doesnt open like it normally would.

In order for it to close I must HOLD the button down.... : /

Has anyone elese had this problem? I really dont want to have to take it to lexus

Sorry to hear about your moon roof..

I would suggest you to bring it to the dealer if the car is still under warranty which I am assumming 'Yes'... there is no reason why you should not... keep us posted on the issue..

Also, did you physically check if something was stuck or maybe it just as small as lubrication issue.. have them check it..

I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem, but you better get it checked by the dealership. That falls under warranty. You don't want that thing to leak during winter...

i think the computer gets comfused sometimes when my moonroof is tilted up i have to wait a little after it starts up to turn the **** so the moonroof come back to normal or else it won't do anything u have to put it back on tilt and wait a few sec then switch it back to normal from there u could press it to open and such. try that before bring it in. or just play with tilting hte thing some more. if all fails bring it in.
