GFM - White?

GFM - White?
Ok, now I don`t think I`ve ever seen a 2IS in Glacier Frost in person, but I`m wondering if the color is in fact white or is it more of a very light silver? Different pictures show different colors, so I can`t really tell for sure. Certain pictures make it appear to be a pearly white, as opposed to the other flat white that Lexus offers.
I was thinking about getting a black on black IS350, but may consider GFM if it is in fact as nice as some pictures make it out to be.
Thanks

It actually changes color under different lighting conditions.
Sunny Day - White with blue pearls
Gloomy Day - Whitish... Baby blue... Metallic Silver
Best OEM color i'd must say. Received many many many compliments.

Yeah see I`m loving the whole white with a pearly blue tint thing, but the last thing I want is to be driving around in the most boring color in the history of the universe -- silver.

Glacier frost mica is one of those colors that is very difficult to photograph, because of the fact that it changes hue according to the light conditions. In the brightest of light, the car will appear a brilliant white. On overcast or cloudy days, in the shade, at night, or under flourescent lights, the blue mica flakes will really pop and will appear anywhere from a pearlish blue-white to baby blue to silver to a light purple. It's really amazing. They may not have any IS's in Glacier Frost at your dealer, but see if you can find a GS in Glacier Frost, as it's the same paint. You may also want to check out this thread from the GS forum - it has some of the better pictures of this paint.

There was a poll last years comparing Glacier Frost Mica with Crystal White (similar to this year's Starfire Pearl). The thread showed roughly a 55% to 45% preference for GFM over the more common Crystal White. It also had a number of comments from people that didn't care for the color, and suggested that potential purchasers make sure they actually see the color and not order based on the way it looks in photographs. The thread had loads of pictures of GFM cars, so it's well worth the read for those debating whether to get it: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=188836

im crossing my fingers that the salesperson can come through and get the glacier frost i want. just dont get black. black looks good at the showroom but just wait until a year later when you can see every scratch, swirl, dust, etc....even when the car is as clean as you can possibly get it.
