NXT Rules!

All kidding aside, I really like the finish I get on my SGM IS 250 using it and an orbital buffer.

That depends on the wax/sealant you use. Some complain of NXT only lasting a couple of weeks and no one seems to be getting more than a month out of it. Then you have the sealants like Klasse, Menzerna, and of course, Zaino. They last significantly longer and 6 months is very possible for these.

I think you should polish your car every six months and wax it whenever you feel like it. NXT is synthetic wax so it doesn't last long but it smells really good lol.

I wax and polish (Meguiar's) a section, body panel a month, every two weeks. Come back to the section I started every four or five months. This way I don't have to do the complete car on that wax, polish month.

Zaino is the way to go for Long-Term care, but for something quick Meguiars NXT is an excellent pick

3-4 months usually. I use a variety of waxes but I've found the new Mother's Reflection stuff is really useful. It repels water and dust very well, and it tends to last 1-3 months depending on how often you wash your car. Something cheap and effective. Zaino is awesome, but I would only use it once a year for a full exterior detailing instead of a wax and go in less than an hour.

Up to what you're looking for really. Lots of products out there, try what you like most.
