Default HELP! Discontinued Aluminum Sport Pedal Package?!

Anyone know where I can find the aluminum accelerator pedal that comes with the sport package?? I have an 06' IS 350 w/ Lux pkg and my girlfriend decided to get me the aluminum sport pedals for Christmas. Well, apparently Lexus has stopped selling the accelerator pedal as a single part. In order to get it, you have to buy the whole accelerator pedal assembly!! That'll run you $486!!! The worst part is that my girlfriend gave me the footrest and the brake pedal without realizing that the accelerator pedal was not included. So now I'm left with 2 out of the 3 and looking for a solution. I guess if I can't figure out a way to get the accelerator I will just have to return the other two Sewell. I just can't figure out why they would stop selling the accelerator and not the others. It had to have happened recently b/c I was just on lexus-parts.com about 3 weeks ago looking at the entire kit for $107 before the CL discount. UGH!! If anybody has any suggestions (Or and extra accelerator pedal laying around), let me know! Thanks...

They probably stopped selling it due to people messing up the install.

Most people on here pulled the assembly apart while on the car. Instead of pulling the accelerator assembly out, and just replacing the pedal.

Probably enough people messed up that lexus realized it was dangerous for people to do. I was dissappointed when I heard the news as well.

you can still buy them from the dealers by separate parts, which cost around $150 including sales tax (in socal area)

Both the dealers I spoke to in the DFW area told me that it was only sold as the complete assembly. Do you know which dealerships in your area might sell me just the single accelerator pedal?

Well that price is for the aluminum pedal with the Electronic pedal.

If you have problems finding the pedal... call sewell, they can get yout the aluminum pedal from the 2005. The pedal is the same, but it comes on the accelerator bar.... so it costs a little more (around $55) Using the CL discount code to get 10% off.

You will have to remove the pedal from the bar to install it on your car. Its a little more of a pain. but its the exact same pedal.

I bought my pedals used from an 04 IS off Ebay. The accel and brake pedals are the same The foot rests are different

man, i didnt realize this would end up being such a hassle. i guess if i could get the is300 pedals then it would be okay. i just want to make sure they will mount correctly.. the last thing i want is an aluminum pedal from a previous MY that's mounted with 3M double sided tape

Can you post a picture of your 04 pedals on your new IS? Thanks!

Well, I sold my 06 a while back. I am waiting for the next set of pedals for my 07 which will hopefully ship from sewell today. I guarantee it will work though, it fits exactly the same.

Slide it on the accelerator bar, and push the pin in.(sounds easy, but its a PITA)
