Default I was lucky...

Bought my car in Missouri, which requires front plates, but live in Kansas which does not. My IS did not have holes drilled in the front bumper. I feel for those of you living in states that require front plates. It really detracts from the look, but understand you've got no choice.

if you get a ticket for no front plate they will tell you that it has to be bolted back on. i got a ticket at lax i zip tied it back to my bumper went to the chp station and they said right away no way thats not legal still. and they were :nice" to point out that having blue bulbs for my turn signals was also illegal but didnt give me another ticket for it.

So did the cops sign off the ticket eventhough you zip-tied it? If not then what did you do to mount it?

My friend had his license plate zip tied, and the cop straight out laughed. He finally had to screw in his license plate.

yeah it is better when you dont use the front license plate... and the idea of put ting in a screw or cap to cover the hole up is A no no though...sorry for my bad opinion///

I think I've heard enough of people getting ticket for not having their front plate on...so, I had my dealer to put on the front license when I have my first oil change...it really looked so bad at the beginning. Yet, I got used to that already and I think it's not that bad now with the front license plate on...

Funny, I was just going to ask this. I bought my car used in MO so they have the front drilled and I live in Kansas. I think that bumper plug is my solution.
