Use the man scientific tool. Get a quarter and flip it.

Heads you get the IS
or
Tails you get the GS

good luck.

just an update for anyone that still cares......i test drove the G35 and it felt good, price wasn't bad and the dealer had over 30+ new 07 G35's in stock. Test drove the TL s-type, hard to tell that its front wheel drive, lots of power. Dealer had around 6-8 in stock but able to get more fast. And as usual almost no IS350 in stock anywhere within 100 miles of me.

i think you should probably take the car in the color you want, seeing as to how you have put a huge premium on that.

A long time ago I made a mistake of settling on a color I didn't particularly want and I really regretted it. I'd say get the color you want.

+1 - For this much $$$$ no reason why you should settle at all; but you may have to show some patients to get what you want however, unless you get lucky and locate one.

No brainer, take the car in the color you want. Just about everything on the X-pkg you can add-on later (starfish wheels, front lip, illum scuffplates). IMHO, I'd take a sport or premium pkg over the X-pkg, since you can get any color you want . . .

Like somebody else said, you can usually find the car you want if you call around. Go to Lexus.com and type in different zip codes (in build your IS350)

That could tell you which area has the car you want in stock, and you could then call dealers in that area and see what's up.

Regarding color, I didn't really want the silver, but it was available so I took it. The color isn't bad. Not flashy, but not bad. I wanted red or black, but the silver has grown on me.
