Default is pricing $1000 under invoice a good deal for a loaded brand new 06 350?

I checked Edmunds and they are right at invoice....and they said they will not go below that and lose money (which I assume is true becuz loaded 350's sell so fast)

also in the mix...an 07 with 1200 miles for $37.7K lux /nav/ml versus the above car lux/nav/hw/pa/etc for $36.9K 0 miles.

t.i.a.

I'd jump on that, especially if you are in Houston!

i would take that with a grain of salt. any leftover 2006 has already been around one full model and calendar year. which means therotically its already lost around 10 percent of its original value, just by being an 2006. My parents bought a 2006 LS430 for 2000 under invoice a couple of months ago.

Chances are you won't be able to find any 06 now.

I would jump on it... it's a great deal... see how much you can deal for the 07 model for the same options and make up your mind from there.. if the difference is more than couple of grand (maybe >3K).. then I would go for the 06...

Infact this was my intention from the beginning but they did not have any New 06 available in the lot.. plus the dealer was scaring me away by saying he would be concern to hear if any dealerships still have a 06 sitting on their lot..

Keep us posted..

totally different situation with the LS -- new body style -- they were giving away IS300's in 06 as well.

Personally, I won't take the 06 unless it's under invoice....

We got our 07 fully loaded for about $1600 over invoice. But for $1600, I got a car that has a VDIM switch, the "first year bug" worked out (like the paint stain, sunroof, etc.), and a "newer" car. JMHO.

How long do you plan to keep the IS?
- The longer you keep it, the lesser is the impact on resale value of 06 vs 07.

How many miles are on the cars?
- I would assume they have quite a few miles. If you are comfortable with the extra test drive miles, ask for further discount

Good luck!

another possibility.....

07 GFM with 1200 miles, LUX + NAV/ML (no headlamp washer or park assist) $37778 before taxes (local)

versus 06 CW 0 miles, LUX + NAV(no ML) HW, PA $36.9K before taxes (note I'd have to drive this car back 1500 miles!)

is the ML really of any value except to show your friends a DVD when you get the car? other than that, I probably won't use the DVD function even if I did hack it...I mean who watches DVD's in the car? CNN maybe but DVD's?

No. Bad deal, you should be able to get close to invoice on an 07...

06 should be below invoice, especially now...

The 2007 already has 1200 miles on it? I dunno man, this is not a simple situation you are looking at...

$1000 below invoice on the 06 is decent... Just gotta look at both cars and decide which you like better, price is about the same... Many factors involved here (07 has VDIM, but the 07 you are looking at already has 1200 miles on it)

New '06 car.

The used '07 may have been their test-drive car, which was probably abused by people trying to push it...
