years ago, when Lexus debut the 350, they said its 0-60 is "less than 6 seconds", then pplz like those that are concern here were going koo-koo's because 300 with BPU can do less than 6 secs... then you see people running less than 5 secs now a days.
and now, when Lexus debut the F, and said its 0-60 is "less than 4.9 seconds", yet pplz like yourself still think that's the exact #'s and gona go over the same concern again... i can already see history repeat itself and Lexus will once again amazes everyone for another under-rated vehicle.

Your is-f weighs about 3400 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 12.9 seconds. That means that you've got about 313.04 HP at the wheels, and about 406.95 HP at the flywheel.
I played with a HP calualtor and came up with this and it sounds really close.also the 0-60 times came out to be 4.2-4.4 sec..

I could care less about the power of a 3 Series Bimmer. And I doubt it has anything near 350 HP and that BMW is not understating the car. What is surprising to me is that OUT Magazine rates the 3 Series as being the number one luxury car choice of gays. The Lexus brand is no where mentioned.
And really guys/gals is a 0 to 60 time or quarter mile time really what decides for you what is or is not a 'cool' car? When I was very young my friends and I lived or died by the 0 to 60 times posted in that 'boy racer' magazine called Motor Trend. Man, if one car was a tenth faster than another the other car was just junk.......I mean Hey man my Oldsmobile can beat your Hudson (by a tenth) Whoa.........sell that beast and get the Olds. Now that I'm a lot older I realize what a crock of crap those numbers are on the street. Sure if you live to drag on the track I can understand the need but otherwise who the f..k cares?

In the email Lexus sent out regarding the IS-F, Lexus is already saying the IS-F will do 0-60 in "WELL BELOW 5 seconds"
