Props to you for being the first to take such a big risk!

AND HELP!!!!! All I have is the nav console itself, what other parts do I need? antenna? Back up camera? Microphone? Do I need more? Can I live with just the antenna?
Hi Tqlla3k, can you give me more information about your situation?

1. What is prerelase Nav? Is it the same as stock Nav?
2. What kind of IS250/350 that you're going to install the Nav Console?
3. What do you mean "antenna"? Is it AM/FM?

What I did it to read both US and JP Wiring Diagram.

To find out the power releated pin (B, ACC, IG, GND, ILL+, ILL-), AVC-Lan releated pin (TX+, TX-), and CAN (CANH, CANL), then to find out the differences between US and JP system. It takes some time to understand both system and also the Wiring Diagram. Well, it is very interesting to DIY

US version uses DVD but JP one uses hard disk
Ahh i see. SO there is no place to remove the clock panel for the map disc like the USDM version?

The Pre release Nav that I have is just like the regular USDM navigation. It just has several spelling/gui errors and screens that are different than the regular navigation. I plugged it into an IS350(which has stock NAV) and it worked flawless. All the plugs are the same

As for the antenna, I man GPS antenna.

We are trying to install the NAV system into my cousins IS250.

i also have a complete IS350 wire harness.

Hey, guys, I came across this the other day. If you want a US nav unit, this maybe your ticket.
