K well i have a aftermarket alarm in my car. I have the remote start wired. But not according to the correct wiring for the IS350. Is there anyone that can guide me or tell me if this will work? With the aftermarket alarm ?

Sweet stuff, keep us posted. If I go to your shop in NJ, do I get a CL discount? I need an aftermarket alarm on my IS.

Thanks

i want that thing soooo bad... and basicaly what i do is make my key disapearby disconecting the battery using a relay that reconnects the battery only when the car is remote started. the only way you could steal the car is if you found the fob and connected the battery

BTW if you guys want me to install the start fill do it for $325 for the 561r wich is the normal price for most lexus i kno i said it was easy but only because it a 6 wire hook up instead of 12+ and the door lock wires are at the switch every lexus ive done was like that. most shops will charge well over $500 for this and it probaly wont work.
mine is flawless now i had to add a couple of diodes and another wire. defanly worth $325

So ... this is an unauthorized sales pitch from a non-CL vendor?! :P

I have been watching this thread and thinking about it in my head. i'll give you props on thinking outside the box and getting this done, but most people won't want it if they knew a thief could simply break the window and drive off with their car once they remote started it. If you did the same thing with the fob, but actually hooked up the rest of the wires as you would a typical remote start, it would kill when you put your foot on the brake to put it in gear.

bro i said mulpille times you can not steal the car unless they find the fop i used and conect the wires to turn it on. if the remote start is not on and you press the break and button you get the key is not detected ok i did not bypass that so lets stop saying that. like i said it works the way it should have cane from lexus.

dude i completly understand what you did. once the car is started you no longer need the key. let me summarize for you. remote start, break window, hop in, drive away. again, i gave you props don't take offense, just stating its possible to do this.

I don't think you did understand what he did. I didn't totally understand the technical aspect of what he did due to his "technical writing", but he made it clear that if you hit the brake to put the car in gear, the car will shut off.

that's the way it should be, if the aftermarket alarm were actually taking over the ign/ acc functions, but it will not do this the way he has it wired. he simply sent the output to trigger the brake wire and the push to start button. if you push the start button in your car and then press on the brake to put the car in gear, does the engine stop running? no.

so you remote start it, then open the door and the car dies, then you have to start it again?
