wow that is real clean lookin..i never thought it could look so flush but u just helped me make up my mind..one request can u post a pic wit it opened up so we can see if it hits the **** or not..and can u still open the ash tray completly..thanks and MUCH PROPS given here..

but check out the youtube video, i tilt the thing, open it, and also show that the ash tray is still usable!

What do you mean?
Also, do you still have the volume and cd controls working on your steering wheel? What were some of the technical problems that up when trying to making it compatible with the stock system? Can you elaborate a bit more on this? Thanks for all your info, I'm definately going down to my local stereo shop and showing them these pics to see if they can do it to my car!

so this board was taken out of the stock player, and relocated to behind the dash.
yes i can still use bass/treb/fade/balance and all that, yes i could still use the volume on my steering wheel

Suggestion:
What if you got two pieces of plastic to put over the black that is on each side of the unit? Trace out the pattern, cut the plastic, paint it the same shade as the factory unit, and voila, it would even look more like it was built in.
Nonetheless, it already looks factory, which is awesome!
