are more 250 drivers getting rid of their cars (than the 350)?

IMO, people are crazy with swapping their cars all the time. Talk about living in debt forever... I had a '98 altima for ~7 years and 170k (lots of college commuting) before i decided to spend some dough on a newer (and much nicer) car, lol. I'm extremely pleased with my 250. I love it to death, it should be paid off in about 16 months and I foresee myself keeping it for a very long time.
I bought a G35 sedan in '02 and sold it in '04 for a G35 coupe cause it had too many issues. Sold the coupe in '06 (because it also had the same issues) and bought the IS in May '06. I plan on giving the IS to my g/f (we 'should' be married by then and she loves the IS) when her lease ends on her TSX in a couple of years. Then, who knows?
For me, logic gets a little fuzzy when it comes to cars and shooting USPSA. For some of my friends, it's travelling or having to get a $200-$400 bottle of wine EVERY time we go out for a nice steak dinner.
Long story short, we all have hobbies or things we spend too much $ on. However, it definitely doesn't mean we'll 'always be in debt.'

ANY car under 600whp feels like a turd compared to a bike.....

Some people do make questionable decisions but some can afford to take the depreciation hit. It's all relative.

You are 100% correct, compare to a bike, all cars with less then 600 whp feels like a turd.
I am not a bike kinda guy, mainly of the major safety hazard. You crash a bike at 80 mph, you die. You crash a car at 80 mph, you go shop for a new car the next day
I don't need a 10 seconds car to satisfy me, well I like to if I can afford it. If money is no object to me, my daily driver would be a Bugatti Veyron. But I am poor, so IF-S will do for me.
I just need a car to not feels sluggish when I floor it, now eveyone have different standard of what is slow. My standard is, any car that can do the 1/4 around 13.00 seconds with a trap speed of 105+ mph is enough to satisfy me. The IS-F just made it
My last car had 360 whp, 12.4 in the 1/4, my current car has 280 whp, 12.8 in the 1/4. They were all quick enough to made me very happy, now I am ready for the heavenly feeling from a Lexus!

I came from a 1996 Acura Integra GS-R. Still have it but I absolutely LOVE my IS250 RWD. I dont regret my purchase at all. I wanted a nice looking car with good gas mileage. After I finish professional school then I will get the new e90 M3 or a IS-F as my graduation present for myself. But that is 5 years away.

Manual transmissions or more power...
A lot of people wanted power AND a manual tranny.
Unfortunately, the 250 lacked power, and is not tuned as smoothly as other manual trannies out there.
Most of the people that are trading are the ones that wanted more power. Has anyone noticed that they all traded their cars for ones that offer manual transmissions with equal or more power, or the IS350...

yep, when I bought the vette in Jan 04 premium gas had "shot up" to $1.68, and only went up from there....after 2 years, I "sold" the lease payment ($386/mo) for $3500 cash and bought the 250 for the mileage but it was still a sporty good looking car.

You can't compare a bike to a car, they have nothing in common other then the fact that they both got wheels and an engine. Saying all cars are slow compare to a bike is like saying all bikes are slow compare to a F16.

fyi, I've been off my bike several times at 80+mph, each time I got up and walked away.... of course this was at a track...
