I doubt it. Maybe you can do some kind of hack but would be hard to do.

I always have my dome light on.

gsrthomas: I notice your sig that your IS is NOT an X-package correct? Ive searched and everyone is saying that only the x-package has the plugs pre-wired. Please confirm this.

You are correct I do not have the x-package.

For 2006 IS models only the Sport Package is plug and play meaning no cutting of wires are involved. All other packages are NOT plug and play so you need to cut and do some sort of modification for the illuminated door sills to work.

2007 models ALL packages should be plug and play. If you have a 07 IS then you are okay.

I'm getting my door sills in next week so I will confirm this since I have only the premium package IS.

So I just installed the Illuminated Door Sills.

This means that ALL 2007+ IS models support the Illuminated Door Sills plug and play.

So all you 2007 owners get your door sills asap! This is like a 5 minute install on these!

Glad I got an 07.

You might want to do it on a warm day though that plastic might break if it's cold.

Did you use any tools to pull the old one up? Did you just use force? Where did you pull from ... the middle? the end?

Thanks,
Alex

I used a flat head screw driver raped with electrical tape just to get the plastic sill high enough to get my fingers in a position where i could then just pull it up carfeully. It came out pretty easily. I started from the end closer to the middle of the car. It is very easy.
