HID doesnt work!
Ok so today after ending work I start my car to find that my right HID low beam doesnt work. I tried turning it on off a couple of times and even turned the engine off a few times but still out. I left it off for a few hours and went back to try it and still only the left side comes out. I thought that the led that I dropped a few weeks ago might have caused the problem but can a piece of led short the HID? I called the dealer and they said it might be a wiring problem..but i had this car for 6 months now. What the hell is going on!?

does your headlight housing have condensation/water in it? Ive had my drivers side headlight and housing replaced already, but i believe it was partly my fault, dealer still replaced under warranty for me though

yeah, get it in at least to get checked.
as for 'nice' loaner car? haha it all depends on the dealer. the dealer i usually take it to only has a few (a 250 and a few ES), and the dealer i bought it from tried to give me a rav-4... if not, then it's a camry or an ES.

At Lexus Carlsbad, I either get an ES 330 or an RX 330 .....my choice.
I had HID issues on my BMW........we had to file suit....they settled and did a by back. But that's worst case scenario type stuff...

This might sound stupid, but did you check your fuse?
Also, try working side xenon bulb on non-working side to see if that lights up. In that way, you can find out if it's the bulb giving you the problem or the ballast/wiring problem.
Or, simply take it to the dealer, but telling them about the led bulb you had on it wouldn't be helpful.

Is leaving the Headlights on during start up considered "Abuse" for the ballasts?
I know that it is, for aftermarket systems. The reasoning is that the ballast needs stable voltage while powering up, and the car is drawing too many amps during startup.
You can see it in the way the headlights dim while starting.
I figured that OEM cars didnt do that. But then I got my 07, which I leave on ON all the time... and noticed that my headlights also dim during start up.
Does that damage the OEM ballast like it does in aftermarket systems? I would assume so.
