I imagine the GS would handle fine with some decent coilovers.

If you can get a GS350 for about the same price - then go for it, but IIRC the GS will cost apprx 6k more than a comparably equipped IS350 . . .

if lexus made the GS more sporty or had an option for a "sport" package i wouldn't get the IS. i just dont get why lexus didnt make the car a bit bigger, more to the other cars in its class.

I'll keep my IS350, nothing about the GS350 excites me.
