IS looks better (imo) and performs better. The only reason you might want a GS is for the extra room.

i was in that predicament.....i think the IS350 is small. The GS350 is much bigger and the backseat is actually useful. However the GS350 is not as fast, doesn't handle as well, and is not as sporty. So what's more important to you? I decided that i really want a faster, sportier car, and since i almost never have anyone in my back seat im staying with the IS350.

I personally would get an Infiniti M before a GS. I like the exterior styling of the GS, but when I drove it, I walked away feeling unimpressed, I didn't like it's performance (handling mainly) and wasn't too crazy about the interior either. I drove it several more times afterwards to see if I would change my mind, but no such luck. I do wish the IS had a larger back seat though, I find it odd that my ex girlfriends smaller Scion TC has significantly more leg room than my 4 door IS.

I would take the GS, but cant afford it so will stick with my IS350. I drove the GS as a loaner. I loved the room, but did not drive like the IS350.

Actually, I'm 40 and I wouldn't buy a GS. I don't find anything attractive about it at all...

I'm a few years older than you, and I'd totally agree. The GS just isn't sporty enough. Even with RWD and good power, it's not nearly as much fun to drive as the IS350.

I'm more than a few years older than you and the GS still doesn't hit my target for what a car should be: good performance and fun to drive.

I never carry anyone in the back seat so that shortcoming that people mention often doesn't mean anything to me. Although there are some good big sedans that drive better than the GS series (Infiniti M and Bimmers) the problem is they are too big for my taste. I like the smaller, tossable cars and that is where the IS shines.

Why 430? 0-60 is rated the same 5.9 sec. Other than more weight and gas.
But then again Im confuse because the 430 has more torque but less hp and the 350 is vice versa.

I would have say that the 430 would be faster from a stop due to the extra torque.
