Black Sapphire Pics in Sun, Any More with Interior shots too
I'm almost set for ordering my IS350. I will have to go special order since I want Lux/Prem/Nav/ML and Park Assist. I have been searching the forum for the past few days just looking at everyone's pictures. Now that I have decided how the car must be optioned I'm only down to color choices.
I was pretty set on Glacier Frost/Black int but after driving the car 3 different times now I have decided not to get black leather but to get Sterling since I like the look of the 2 tone and the Z design on the doors and the dark carpet and Sterling will open up the interior even if it is an optical illusion.
So now that I changed to Sterling I'm wondering how Glacier Frost will look with a lighter interior? I can't find any pics of Glacier WITH the interior door open so I can see how Glacier looks on the outside with the Sterling interior.
I'm also thinking of the Black Sapphire Pearl with Sterling, I feel the darker will play off the lighter 2 tone interior better. But I'm concerned of course of having a dark color and if it's like black it will be a devil to keep clean. I live in Florida so it's sunny almost all year and I love these 2 pics with the sun bringing out the Blue Color.
Request does anyone have pictures of both Glacier Frost and Black Sapphire Pearl WITH the pic showing the door open so you can see how Sterling will look with these exterior colors. Something like these of peoples here on the forum but showing the exterior and interior in the same photo shot. Thanks
THESE ARE NOT MY PICS.

I thought GFM/sterling would look good too, but I saw the "sterling" interior (without GFM), and was unimpressed. Honestly, GFM/black is very nice, and I try to set off the leather in the door panels by leaving it with a little more gloss when I clean the leather.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Plus, it looks way better when you change out all the lights for blue LEDs ...

I have seen Black Sapphire on the LS460, it's an excellent paint color, but I don't see much purple in it, just a rich, dark blue . . . The Black Opal, which is exclusive to the LS600hL, is a dark purplish blue . . .

The hints of purple are visible in direct sunlight... My guess is stage-1 of the 3-stage pearl paint...

Sterling interior is kinda like a black exterior.. can be tedious to keep clean.
Its such a light grey its almost white.
I have it in my TP I love it because the black dash and the door trim make the interior look sporty..

That's actually not technically correct. What I meant to say in my original post is if you opt for the Lux Pkg you are getting the prem pkg items too. Taken from Lexus Website for IS:
Premium Package $1,290
Auburn bird's-eye maple interior trim
Perforated leather-trimmed interior
Heated and ventilated front seats
Luxury Package $3,495
Auburn bird's-eye maple interior trim
Perforated leather-trimmed interior
Power tilt-and-telescopic steering column
Lexus Memory System to control power driver's and front passenger's seats (except lumbar), outside mirrors and steering wheel
Heated and ventilated front seats
Illuminated doorsill scuff plates
Power rear-window sunshade
Rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers with mist cycle
Electrochromic (auto-dimming) outside mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse
Bi-xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps
Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS)
Yeah, I'm probably leaning more towards the Glacier Frost but undecided with either black or sterling int. I'm also not happy about the order process taking 4 months just because I want the Park Assist with Lux/Nav/ML.
