HELP on pricing....IS250AWD
Hi. I'm new. Before I start, I want to say great message board.
I'm about to buy my wife an IS250 AWD. We were at the dealer yesterday. The car is great. Sticker was 36,500 but I brought him down to 35,000. Do you think I can get more off? What about if I get a model with Navigation ($39,XXX), how low can I get the price?
I'm located in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, and there are plenty IS250's to be had on their lot.

I got my wife an 07 AWD with Premium, NAVI, HID, and other goodies, MRSP 39,171. I paid 35750 + 250 fees. Total was 36,000 (Tax and title extra).
Your offer of $35000 for a $36500 MSRP is too high (unless that included all taxes and fees. THis is vary by location so we won't know the exact price for the car itself).
Good luck. It's a great car.

Go to Edmunds and enter your zipcode to see what prices are being paid for the 250AWD in your area, then try to get yours for less than the average, but at least you will know what others in YOUR area are paying. The other item to keep in mind about AM1's advice is that he is likely talking about the RWD 250s. I would not expect deep discounting on the 250AWD in the middle of winter in PA...

I bought mine in Pittsburgh and got 2k off a bare bones 250. This was a friend in the business so usually it was only 1k. Pittsburgh is not a good market as they don't have competition from other Lexus dealerships (both owned by the same family). It's about what you feel is a good deal, but demand at least 2k; and $2500 if you get the AWD with Navi. Can't use the phrase "I'll take my business to the other dealership in town/"
Call the Baltimore and Northern Virgina Area dealers to see what there prices are. I heard of some deals there and they are not far from BWI and Dulles Airports. Not a far trip.
Do weigh the importance of what services the dealership offers like valet for service intervals and free car washes, ect. Also remember the extra gas to and from other dealerships out of state. If less than a grand, better to stay and buy from the Burgh

In August (month or two before the '07 models came out) I was able to get my IS250 AWD '06 w/Nav, Luxury, Accessory, all weather mats for $36,500 plus taxes, title etc...MSRP was 40k.
PS. I had my local dealership match the lowest price I got when I called around other dealerships.

Hello everyone.
Thank you to those who have posted in my thread.
Okay, the salesman dropped the MSRP down to 36,800 from 39,072.
Should I pull the trigger?
