I'm having that valve tapping noise when i first started my gs350 in the morning. Oil change is due and will put a mobil1 full synthetic oil. Think this will help with the tapping sound?

If it's because you drive 2-3 miles a day every day, that's horrible for the oil (lots of short trips with no chance to run at operating temp)- in that case switch to the cheapest oil you can find and change every 3 months regardless of mileage.
If it's because you take one 50 mile drive 3/a week on the highway then once a year is just fine.

Anyone with higher mileage 100k+ notice the engine burns some oil? I noticed I have to put maybe .25-.5qt every now and then b/c my low oil light comes on around 4500mi. Haven't done it much, maybe twice since I've hit 95k. FYI spark plugs and engine top clean was done around 85-90k. But maybe I'm trippin out since I have driven to Tahoe about 6 times between my last oil change. Probably the high rpm's and hill climbs burned the oil? Maybe time to upgrade to syn since I've been only using regular oil every 5k?

I get my oil from walmart as posted above, $30 for a 5qt and $6 for the 1qt (2) bottles. Mobil1 Full Synthetic 0W-30 is what I put on mine. I believe it's better than the OEM 5W-30. Better for cold starts and short trips. I still change my oil every 5k miles regardless of driving style. The extra few $$ I believe is worth it when preserving the life of your engine.
