Default 2006 IS350 deal? in the year 2007?

Hello

I'm a fairly new member to this forum, so I'm asking a purchasing question to those more knowledgeable about Lexus dealer pricing. I reside in Columbus, Ohio and looking into a IS350 fully loaded (ML, Nav., etc.) There is one that I'm interested in at a dealership that I have visited. The sticker is a little above $45,000 and it is an '06 model. My question is, what is a GREAT price for this vehicle. I'm just sure it should have a huge discount off of MSRP since it is the year 2007 for a new 2006 model. I would like your input by telling me your experiences (prices paid) and where the dealership is located.

Thanks in advance.

above $45K? wow... seems a little high. i got mine when they were pretty hot (in april), fully loaded for $2500 under sticker ($44000sticker-$2500=$41500). i am in california, but i dont think prices should be that different. as far as 2006 models, i'd think they'd wanna get rid of them, although 350s are a lot harder to come by than the 250.

is it brand new? no miles on it, or at least less than 10? i'd shoot for $42K otd...

get at least invoice. dont forget the car is already one model year and calendar year old. so even if the car has little mileage and never registered its alredy lost some value.

The car is brand new, window sticker still in place. I forgot to mention that they are already selling it for $5k off sticker because the front windshield has "5,000 off" written on it.

You think it is possible for about $37k - $38k before TTT?

Wow this has the potential to be a great deal. The dealer wants to get this off the lot ASAP. My car I think has the same specs because the sticker was $45k. I got $1k over invoice in mid September when the 07's were coming out. If they are immediately taking $5k off, I believe thats invoice. You should be able to knock em down to $38k-$37k. A bargaining chip would be that when you drive the car off the lot it will be one year old and would have dropped in value tremendously.

Default thanks for the replies..

I'm probably hitting the dealership this weekend or earlier next week to see how low they will go, and also how much they will give me for my trade. I'll keep you guys posted if a deal ever materializes.

go to Edmunds and check invoice pricing....I'd offer them invoice or below --- be sure you are pre-approved and ready to buy on the spot -- I did the same thing with an 06 paid 36.9 for a 44K car (before taxes). I gave them a CapitalOne check and was on my way!

That would be a great deal if you could get that price. I just picked up my 06 with a 45K sticker for 37k, but it had 10k miles. I probably could have gotten a BIT better of a deal but I bit nonetheless.

Default A little more info about the vehicle.

The car has a little over 300 miles on the odometer and sticker is $45423 and they are taking 5k off right away.

Again, this is a 2006 that has never been titled.

You think it is possible to get an '07 for this similar deal?

Here in San Diego I just got an Internet quote.

2007 IS350
Black/Cashmere

MSRP 42052.00

My price $38,319.00 without even haggling.

I keep hearing about shortages but there seems to be a boatload around here.

I was looking at a 2007 and when trying to find one with that was black with Nav, they couldn't find one. However, they said they had a 2006 with everything I wanted. (Premium - NAV - Sticker was 42K in October) I like the '06 better anyway since it does not have the shark fin. I got them down to 36,800.

So - how much did this car go for? There is an '06 350 at one of the dealerships here that I'm looking at. It has EVERYTHING (Nav, Parking Sensors, Levinson, etc. Not sure if it has Radar Cruise... finding out this weekend).

Black on Black. Brand new. My top color choice was the Graphite but for a killer deal, I'll take my 2nd choice of Black. Personally, the new features on the 2007 aren't enough for me to warrant paying more. Plus, I would never really use the VDIM off switch anyway.
