Sorry for your loss. I think some of the people feel that most accidents involve carelessness and speed, but sometimes, it's just that. An accident. So as they were saying, they weren't able to make a decent judgment because of the lack of details that was provided. Some pictures, explanations, and stuff like that would be nice. Another thing is... I think because of your signature, saying you have stuff like 5% tint all around, 35% in the windshield, and ballz, they made assumptions.

Everyone has the right to their opinion and assumptions, plus the need to express it, so I guess that's how this thread ended up.

Also, I'm wondering why most people feel that kids who don't buy their own cars are almost always looked down upon. I do feel that a parent buying, say, a 16~18 year-old who just got their license a M3, CLK55, and even maybe the IS350 etc. would be irresponsible and spoiling their kids, but people do come from different cultures and have different backgrounds. Ok I'm rambling off... but I just wanted to voice my own opinion too

That looks like a pretty serious accident.... 40mph side swipe so no air-bag deployment?? I'm really hoping for a more detailed explaination soon...

IMO, I dont think they will total the car. I dont see it being a $30,000 + accident.

Are you kidding, that car is toast. All that front end damage and no airbags deployed, is that what I am seeing? The engine must be totaly displaced to do all that damage to the center consol and shifter.

I am glad to hear you are OK. That looks like a bad accident.

Someone should set up a poll. Totaled or Not Totaled I say totaled. The parts may not add up to 30k, but it's the labor that usually costs the most. The labor costs for my repair was more than the parts.

Members,

A lot of ugly posts in this thread... None of you except the original poster know the circumstance here and any blame you place is pure conjecture on your part. Show a little sympathy, god forbid you are in a similar situation... it would be nice to have some support rather than being blamed and attacked.

BaLLzZz, some of the members have offered advice on taking a bit more time in your written communications to make them more legible - I agree with them please try. Sorry to hear about your accident and glad it you're physically OK after what looks like a pretty bad wreck.

Damn, car looks TOTALED to me. Glad you weren't hurt. I dont understand how a parent can buy there kids a $40,000+ car. Have kid wreck the car and say hey no worries let's go get you another car. Phunk that! I'd be like, here's your Schwinn!
