I think the consensus is to go with the 350 if you can afford it and a set of winter tires/wheels.
I've still got summer tires on my 350 and so far the winter has been very mild in the midwest. But I'm prepared to buy some winter tread if it gets bad. An extra grand or so on winter is a chunk of cash, but the benefit of having the extra power makes it very worthwhile!

If you aren't going to get a second set of wheels for your snow tires, you might be able to do what I did. When I negotiated my new car deal, I got them to throw in three years worth of seasonal tire change-overs at no cost.
