man, that blows. You should now learn how to use the metal key, lol. The key hole is right behind the plastic cover on the drivers handle bar (on the right hand side). If you look under it, there is a hole for the metal key to pop the plastic part out and you'll see the keyhole behind it.

Good luck with this. I placed a call to Lexus corporate regarding the infamous CEL/VSC light problem after they told me it was a broken gas cap that set the light off. They don't have an answer for me. They told me to call my dealer back.

I have some experience setting this as I've done it twice. First when I got the car and a second time when the dealer disconnected the battery when I brought the car in for its 1 month inspection.

I push the start button twice to get to ign-on. I then hold the unlock button down and count to 5. The lock does not lock/unlock. If I continue to hold the unlock button down it still doesn't lock/unlock. If I try holding down the lock button it doesn't do it either. If I turn off the car and try the process again, whether trying the unlock or lock button it doesn't lock/unlock or unlock/lock.

I do know now how to use the key. I had the dealer show me and then tried myself while there just to make sure

PITA to get to the dealer. Probably won't be able to get out there for a few weeks. I may just wait until April and the cars oil change visit. I can fall back on this thread to show them that this started right after the strange lock out occurance.
