Lux Package not available on IS 250's?
So I was having a conversation with a Lexus Internet Manager and he told me something that shocked me.
"For a custom order (90-120 days generally from deposit to delivery) most any configuration will be available (apart from Luxury package which I believe is only now produced on IS 350's)."
is there any truth to this? i was looking forward to a 250 MT with memory seatss, power steering column and heated/ventilated seats.

Naw, I think he's being lazy. Luxury & Sport pkgs are not normally allocated to CA on the 250, so you have to special order from the factory to get it. Also, he may be trying to talk you out of a MT, since he's afraid that if he orders it and you back out, he'll be stuck with a car that he can't easily sell . . .

how do you like the MT? are there things you wish they did differently with the clutch, transmission, gear ratios?

If you are the primary driver of the car most of the time, I'd just skip the Lux package. As I said in another thread,
I was having buyer's remorse over not getting memory seats until I started breaking down the Luxury Package contents and the value I assign to each. It turned out after you subtract the Premium Package and HID, you are left with a $1,330 package for memory seats, illuminated scuff, tilt down right mirror, rear shade, and rain sensing wipers. Out of all that, I'd only miss the memory seats. I'd pay maybe $100 each for the other items, leaving the memory seats costing about $900...
I'll adjust my seats and steering wheel 20 times a year MAX (unless valets are rude). I can live with that...

the MT is good enough for me. ppo complain about the hanging revs, high release point in the clutch n a bunch of other lil things. i do notice those things but they don't really bother me. i'm happy i went with the manual over the auto n i'd do it all over again too.

i'm a gadget person, so i know i would miss the Navigation immensely. so now with what you have brought up, and trying to weigh which one package i would miss the most i am now leaning towards the Nav and HIDs.

don't the 07's come with hid's standard anyways? if i had to choose, i rather get the nav over the lux package.
