Default free alignment 10k or 1 year??

i was told there is a free alignment for the first 10k?? or 1year??

anyone gotten their done?

reason is i went over the corner of a parking island a while back and it ripped my tire and put a scuff on my rim.. i dont think it affected my alignment at all but if it's free.. i might as well go get it done at the oil change

any info?

Why don't you just take the car to the dealership and tell them it is pulling to the right or left. I'm sure they'd run the alignment for free.

i was told this by my sales rep .. she also told me i can take it to any lexus dealer.. not just where i bought it because its a 50mile drive.. email:

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about your mishap. I spoke with my Service Manager and he informed me that you can have one alignment with in the first year/20k miles covered under warranty. All warranty issues can be taken care of at any Lexus dealer. As far as the damage to your tire, that is not covered under warranty. You can have a technician examine it to see if any repairs can be made to the tire, however if the damage is major my service manager suggested filing a claim with your insurance company. Please call or email if I may be of further assistance. Take care!

Hmmm, very interesting, seems like a sneaky way for the dealer to get you to come in for the 10k or 15k service. Most folks won't waste the time to go to the dealer just for an alignment, and may end up spending $150-250 on the maintenance service . . .

As simple as our alignments are, I don't see any dealer sending a customer away. If there is anything significantly wrong, they'll have to replace parts to fix it, and no doubt you'll have to pay for the parts to fix it.
