what dealer and service writer?

 

I know many people encountered problem with the dealership when they want the DRL disabled. IMO we should have the right of disabling it. It's not required by law.

What you can do is, tell the dealership that you need to frequently visit military base in your area and ALL LIGHTS MUST BE OFF as you enter the gate. All lights, including DRL or the guards would point the guns at you.

 

I had mine done by Lexus of Austin. I didn't get charged and it was part of my personal settings. It took about 10 seconds.
