Do you use the Lexus dealer car wash?
#182
hi everyone
Couldn't find a more related thread than this one, and was wondering if anyone can provide an answer for me. I drive an AWD on F-Sport springs and plan on getting the i-style rear/side lips, as well as the high power HKS exhaust.
With this setup, will i be able to clear the rails at cloth car washes? I'd use the the touchless wash but i hear the chemicals they use are harmful and the one near where i live isn't working =(. I want these non-hand washes so that the underbody of the car can be cleaned from the salt on the roads from winter.
attached is a pic for reference from another CL member here. Couldn't find a pic that was AWD:

I have less than 1500 miles on my new black IS350C and I take it in to the dealership to have them take off the F-sport shocks and springs (to go back to the stock set-up), and they washed and hazed the whole car! I couldn't believe the swirl marks!
It's also amazing they gave it back to me like that (my girlfriend picked the car up for me and I didn't see till that night).
The dealership made good on it by having the whole car buffed out. But I'm sure it took some life out of the paint.
There's no way I'd let them wash my car again.

just buy one of those brushes from crappy tires or walmart

don't ever use them on your paint. wet your underbody, use the brush to scrub with some soap. then rinse off with the pressure washer.
