Like I said previously in this thread. What do the northerners do when the white stuff falls and the salt prevails? I am lucky the dealer does a great wash.

Never again...after a few washes I notice really bad swirl marks. After hiring professional to buffer and polish, I just stick with touchless. I washed myself once with microfiber cloths and all. Still noticeable swirls appear. Just touchless for me.

If they're using wheel acid and not washing the rest of the car, they can easily get product overspray on your car that will be allowed to bake in for awhile.

Also, they can barely handle being told not to wash the car at all...I'm betting a request to wash wheels only will result in the entire car going through the swirl-o-matic.

Where's the "I had no frickin' clue Lexus would wash my car for free" option!?! Obviously when it's in for service I've gotten free washes, but I didn't know I could just drop in for a wash? I have some minor swirls, so its time for a detail but I can leave with a good detail once a year or so. My Z06 I don't let anybody touch though. The IS is a DD and if I can avoid washing it sometimes and make somebody else do it, then cool.

I wash my car by myself. I only wash at the dealer when I went there for service or to fix something.

I just can't believe that a lexus dealership would do this to their own cars. I figured I could trust their wash to not leave a ton of swirl marks.

So my question is, do you actually use the Lexus dealer wash? I've always washed my own cars, but this time I thought I could trust the dealer. I was wrong. BTW, dealership is Lexus of Austin...

My dealer only does a hand wash, which may be the reason that they only wash with a service.

I refuse to wash take my vehicles to a wash that has anything that touches the car. Spary washes or hand washe only!

I love the car wash at Lexus of Las Vegas. It's 100% touchless/brushless.

my dealer hand wash my car too, I told them about I'm worried of swirl marks, they said no worries, it won't happen. They washed twice already, I check the job after, and no swirl marks found.

My dealer's car wash sucks. When I get my car, it still has soap bubbles all over the windows.
