Spinning Tires
I'm just curious, how much will wider rear tires improve the 'spinning wheels' syndrome (on dry pavement mind you!) that I seem to get every time I put an ounce of muscle into my accelerations. I really feel like I'm not pushing the car very hard for how easily the rear tires are slipping - that is until the stability control kicks in and takes away any remaining acceleration I had hoped for. 10.5" in the back?

You are in Oregon, so my guess is that it is fairly cold. If you are running summer tires it could just be that the compound is hard due to the temps. I don't know if anyone is running 10.5s, that sounds too big to me.

The temp is most likely a large attribute. It has been high-thirties to low-forties the past few weeks. I'm at right around 15,000, so the treads shouldn't be worn low enough to be an issue. I also have my car in sport mode all the time, and tend to take advantage of the horsepower when possible.
