Installed rear brake light cover after installing spoiler?
Has anyone installed the Center High Mount Stop Light (CHMSL) cover after installing their rear spoiler? According to the lexus-parts.com website it says that you need to install one after adding a spoiler to your rear deck.
It's a $65 piece, and I wonder what it's for? I assume the spoiler is partly in the way of the brake light but what does this cover do?

I added the OEM spoiler after purchase, but never really bothered with the CHMSL. The only way to truly know is to have someone follow behind me and witness whether the brake light is obstructed by the spoiler or not. Any volunteers in SoCal ???
