bummer, I like both, but Sirius had a slightly better music playlists...

 

Anyone know whats the best deal on XM subscription now? I'm still on my 90-day trial and unless I can find a much better deal than their standard $12.95/month I won't subscribe. A couple of years ago I had the $5/month deal on my MDX which was okay.

 

Yeah I think theres still something on acura forums about the 60/yr deal.^^^

 

That sucks. I had a rental car with XM and the playlist is horrible. I was hoping Sirius was better...

Here is the relevant post:

"Sometime within the next 3 months, call back and ask for the $77 per year deal (ZWINBACK). If the CSR won't give you the deal, ask them to transfer you to the Cancellation Department, because you should not have to pay more than $77 per year. They will probably go ahead and take the coupon. Otherwise, ask the Cancellation Department to cancel your account after the three months ends. Then the Cancellation Department will probably put the coupon in for you.

You might be able to use these coupons online instead of calling.

edit: Using the promo codes has nothing to do with the equipment rebates. You can get a rebate on a radio and ALSO use the promo codes for service.
edit: Just to be clear, you will not actually cancel. The cancellation department does not want anyone to cancel. If someone actually tries to cancel you, tell them "nevermind", then call back and try again."

Let me know how it works out, I might try this after my 90 days are almost up.

 

IIRC, that is the same code (or something very similar) I used for the $60/year deal for my MDX. They didn't give me the same rate the following year so I cancelled. But I didn't talk to the Cancellation Department at that time. When my initial 3 months is up for my IS, I will give it a try.

I have sirius in my IS and i wouldn't take XM for nothing. my friend has a TL and the music selection is horrible. raw dog, jamie foxx and shade 45 are all great channels
