Default No car wash for 1 wk + IN toll road = One dirty IS

*sad* really need to get the car washed tonight. with it being negative double digits here the last week i had no choice. thank god for the clear bra but i hope some stainless polish/cleaner will take the Tanabe exhaust back to brilliant. will have to leave the front air dam install wait till it gets a bit warmer out.

I have a guy that does full detail every spring and fall for me here at work. He does an awesome job buffing, clay bar, etc etc. My cars have always come out looking great even after the winter season.

Glad its 68 degrees and sunny here!

lol, I should have posted my IS before I had it cleaned ... I tried to wash it myself, the water and suds coming of were black ... and my white car was STILL grey ... I took it for professional super-cleaning ... it's white again

Wow, thats a dirty IS!

We should start a thread to post pictures of our dirty IS's only.

Its cool to see who has the dirtiest IS. Especially since the winter has been pretty harsh for some people.

no not yet. had planned on having them installed last month but never got around to it. waiting for spring to do the Injen, springs, body kit, and new grille. no point in doing it with this weather. all the parts are sitting in my basement waiting

Sick!!!
That reminds me my old days in Canada. You prob. need a winter car during the snow season. I hope it did no damage on your paint.

did the whole winter car thing for a couple years while i owned my G and it wasn't worth it. paid for it to sit, didnt enjoy it for 3-4 months, and the saved mileage didnt get me any more $$ when I sold it. besides, paying insurance on two cars and repairs on the winter beater got a bit old. if im paying the payment i want to enjoy the car now. i highly doubt the paint is damaged or ruined with the clear bra installed and the super detail job she gets twice a year.

I agree. Being in Texas, the weather doesn't ever get as bad as your area but I have a friend that has one and he doesn't drive it ever anywhere, when it rains, forget about it, he's not taking it out, he doesn't go on the freeway either so it takes him extra longer to get to where he needs to go. I'm always like, just enjoy your car man. oh well

Do you have a heated garage? I would suggest getting a touchless wash and then go straight home and let the car sit in the garage overnight to dry. I did that, no problems with freezing doors, locks, etc...
