Default Free Last Minute Additions??

I'm going to pick up my car today!!

I am going to ask regardless, but I was curious to know what kind of luck you all have had on getting things thrown in last minute. I didnt negotiate for winter floor mats initally because I just didnt think of it. The deal is pretty much done, but was going to ask them to throw in free floor mats.

Has anyone done something like this successfully? I think the $118 (hopefully at least get a deal) is worth it for floor mats that fit perfectly. They said they have them in stock, so I can make sure they fit perfect before i buy them.

Thanks in advance...I'll have pictures on monday...because i'll be too busy driving around all weekend to post!!!

It all depends on what the dealer has to offer.

Kind of chick***** to renegotiate afterwards for something so trivial. But hey thats just my opinion.

Depends upon your deal, if you got close to invoice - forget it, they're not going to throw in any freebies. Then again, if this is the 4th Lexus you've bought from this dealer, they should take care of you . . .

Regarding floor mats, dont pay $118.. you can get them through lexus-parts.com for much cheaper. I bought my set off ebay from lexus parts and paid 63.

Does not hurt to ask. Also they are not finished with you. When you go to do the paperwork the business manager is going to try to sell you all sorts of useless high-margin items, ie, paint protection, etc, so why should you not also ask for something. Remember...them that don't ask, don't get!!

Window tint is usually not thrown in, but clear mats often are. It's not a Lexus product, strictly up to the dealer. If you didn't get them you can get a set easily. Mine are ExactMats, www.exactmats.com, well worth the small amount of money if you have to buy them. They are cut to the exact size as the carpeted mats. Good product. Just give them a call and they'll send you a set right out for next day delivery. I bought them for my other cars and they are about $70 if I remember correctly.

Wow I didn't know that some dealers have clear mats that will fit right over the carpet mats.I going to have to ask about that when I get my car.
