humm i dont get why u'd use the current gear, doesnt it say what gear ur in when u shift into sport on the middle of ur meters. u know where it has P/R/N/D/S like next to the S has 1/2/3/4/5/6 =/. so tank adv for me

No, it says what gear you're in, it doesn't say what gear your car is in. You need to watch the info display for current gear to see that.

I used to leave my car on current gear also, but lately it's tank average.

I keep mine on the average range so that way i remember to fill up on gas easier. I sometimes keep it on the temperature too.

if you use current MPG you can easily learn the best throttle positions to achieve max mileage, thats now I get 21.5 mpg driving full city, significantly more than the EPA sticker

Definately the outside temp!!! I will post a pic shortly of it reading one degree the other day (not including the windchill) in Chicago.

I had an ES350 loaner last week. When you aren't on the outside temp screen, the outside temp it displayed along the bottom of the screen in small letters. I kept the Range screen on, since they only gave me 1/4 tank, but didn't have to toggle to the temp.

I really liked that. Odd they don't have the same thing across the board. Seems it would be more cost effective to make the displays all the same.

Mine read -9 on Saturday!!!! Minus 3 Monday morning.... NEITHER with wind chill....
