If it was me I would go with Cashmere. I always thought it looked the best in a black car. We have 2 black/black lex at work that I drive everyday. Mebbe that is why I am sick of that combo. HEHE.

I never really understood why people ask for input on something like this. It's your car, you should be able to make the choice on your own or with those close to you. You shouldn't need the help of random internet people to make a decision like this. That being said, black.

cashmere is very nice but gets dirty quick. It shows the dirt on the carpet very easily. if you go that route get the all weather floormats. I have black. and while the dog hair (white) tends to get on my nerves sometimes, it's nothing that an ever-present microfiber can't keep under control. I'd go with the black. Of course, depending on the area of the country you live in and how hot your summers are you may want to consider otherwise.

Go Obsidian/Black. Make sure you get ventilated seats to combat the heat issue in the summers. Oh yeah, tint out the windows too!

+1

cashmere is harder to keep clean but much cooler on your butt in the summer (if you're buying a black car you'll have plenty of maintenance to do anyway)

black is brain dead simple to care for but will be hot in the summer.

For me, black is the only way to go. I keep my cars for a long time so I want something that's low maintenance...for the interior at least.

Black is the way to go. Easier to maintain and it looks better. One thing I don't like about the Cashmere/Sterling interiors is the black hulking dash. Just looks out of place to me. I thought I originally wanted Cashmere but ended up with black, and I'm glad of it. But it's your choice. No wrong selection.

But I'm surprised your dealer has both black and cashmere with metallic accents in stock. I haven't seen a metallic IS interior for many, many months. Or are you custom ordering??
