So, when I'm searching on the Lexus site and there is no option for ML (only Nav), that just means that it wasn't allotted to my region - thus it will be hard to come by? This is extremely suprising to me. I tried doing the search on their site in the NE too and I still didn't get an ML option. I think their site is trying to bee TOO intuitive - they just need to let us configure it with all the options we want and then go from there - maybe put a flag at the end of the process saying "this option is not generally avilable in your area"

Well you can try and visit your local dealer and see if there is any ISX50 with NAV and ML in there lot. If there isn’t you can always try and special order it but you might have to wait 4-5 months for the special order.

The Lexus site is correct, doesn't need to be tweaked or modified. It's been that way for awhile now, not going to change. If you want to see ML equipped cars, try searching in the Midwest.

Finding ML in dealers stock is always difficult. Here in the TX area they just aren't seen. I was at Lexus of Austin on Friday and they were unloading a new batch of IS's. In total they had about 20 of them, only 2 were 350's and NONE had ML. In fact there are very few options coming through right now. Mostly the Premium Pkg, and some with Nav. But not much more esoteric than that. You might stumble across one in stock with ML, just keep looking. You can always special order.

I have no problem special ordering and waiting... but how do I deal with the situation that I'll be w/o a car come end of March. If I special order, i'll have to fill the time gap of about 2 months. Would lexus lease me a car for just two months?

You might get Lexus to lease you a car for two months (or more), but it would probably get expensive. Why not do a month by month rental at one of the rent-a-car places? Sometimes some of the smaller ones give good rates on a monthly basis.
