Default my Sunday project: brake caliper decals for the 350

special thanks to VegasIS300 (Vince) for the decals...only about $5 for a set.

(don't worry I didn't leave the wheel lock key on the wheel)

cool I wish that I could do the same on my IS250...since the caliper is smaller I just paint them in flat black...

Looking good, bagwell!

Glad to see I'm not the only one to have this done!

I was going to do the same, but I was concerned that the calipers would melt the stickers, so I painted mine.

Lookin good though! And for $145 less!!!

Wait...No credit for the idea?!?!?!?!

Just playin.

Keep us informed how the stickers hold up to the heat...

That looks so much better than some color like red, yellow, or orange.
Good job

they're supposedly hi heat decals, so we'll see how it goes...I'd be out a whopping $5 if anything happens to them...not too concerned.

I gave the calipers a lite sanding and painted just the outside surface, then applied the decal, then shot with about 10 coats of hi temp clear.

honestly I've painted calipers before with just plain ole Rustoleum Hammered Aluminum paint and never had any problems with the paint burning/melting/bubbling/chipping/peeling off.

and yes the VegasIS300 (Vince) sells them...just PM him.

To prevent the sticker from not holding up; paint the caliper white, then put the sticker on and paint it black. Then just remove the sticker...
